Hello There, Hola, How ya Doing?  My name is Reid Harris Cooper.  I am a  writer/artist/actor and many other things.  This website is is basically meant to house links to my livejournal, flickr and the hub of the website "The Spectrum" a collection of articles I have written over the last few years exploring many facets of pop-culture.  I love everything... music, TV, books, comics, movies, art, journalism and I wanted to have a home to place my viewpoint of them all.  Hence Pop-Culture Spectrum was "born".

Quotes to the site:

"Duuuuuuude!! You RUUUUUULLLEE!!!
Boy, I hope Evan doesn't hyperventilate and die when I put this on his PC...
" - Sarah Dyer of Action Girl and House of Fun commenting on Dean-Cronos in a Livejournal comment

(Evan would be Evan Dorkin of DORK, Pirate Corp$ and Milk & Cheese fame who said the following in regards:

"Sign of the devil! Rock over London! Rock over Cleveland! Yeeeeeeearrrgh!" which of course is a quote of Wesley Willis)

"On the contrary - please keep it up. I hope people hear it!" - Tom Scharling of The Best Show on WFMU commenting on correspondence about posting Dean-Cronos

My Original concept letter:

Welcome to Pop-Culture Spectrum. There have been plenty of pop-culture websites going on for awhile. Some are even given props in the links section. On top of those there's also X-Entertainment, Movie Poop Shoot, Sean-Baby, Pop Culture Club (which houses great sites like Jump the Shark and TV Party), pop matters, Pop Culture Shock and plenty others.

There's always room for one more though. That's what I think at least. With so many people having different views and all nerds having different tastes and opinions, another pop culture website is like another movie, music album, comic book, video game or novel. There are new ones all the time. Sometimes the newest becomes the best or your favorite and replaces what came before. Other times it just becomes another addition to your regular life.

That is what Pop Culture Spectrum hopes to be. Another bookmark, another site that people want to read, that people come to love, that people come to discuss and then link on their website or promote in their livejournal, blogger, deadjournal, diaryland or what have you.

So once again, Welcome and I hope you like what you see here. The content is small, but it is growing and there shall be plenty more with a more improved site as well, so keep coming back and often.

Signed bravely,

Reid Harris Cooper
